Sell Energy

If you have a generator, sell energy to your neighbours near and far

Roger and Charlotte, Sheep Farmers

Roger and Charlotte own and operate a sheep farm near Jindabyne, New South Wales. They decided to  become energy farms as well by installing solar panels on their sheds and some wind turbines on their land. They opened an energy shop on Localvolts and sell energy to consumers in the New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Any un-contracted energy is sold in the spot market.

Give excess energy to family and friends

Virginia, Andrew, and Adam, Hunter Valley Residents

Virginia and Andrew own a property in the Hunter Valley, an apartment in Manly, and a house in Canberra where their son, Adam, is living while attending the Australian National University. Virginia and Andrew installed a large solar PV-battery storage system at their property. They trade energy in the spot energy and the ancillary services markets, use their own energy when in Manly, and provide energy to Adam for his use in Canberra.
